During the initial healing period, swelling can occur. To accommodate this, we use an extended post for the piercing. Once the initial swelling subsides, it's important to replace the post with a shorter one that fits snugly with your anatomy. This adjustment aids overall healing, helps prevent piercing bumps, and ensures the piercing heals at the correct angle. We recommend downsizing within 6-8 weeks.
